#Project366 – week 33

Are you on Pinterest? I spent a stupid amount of time on Friday night rearranging all of my photo boards, so I now have a huge selection of #foodporn images organised into meal types ranging from brunch and salads right through to dessert and drinks. I divided my mains into categories depending on whether their key ingredient was cheese, meat or seafood, and even created a whole new board for my favourite autumnal amber vegetables – pumpkin, squash and sweet potato!

My #project366 pinterest board remains untouched however…a record of my personal challenge to capture a food-related photograph every day for a year. These update articles are long overdue, but I do make sure I keep the Pinterest board regularly updated so please subscribe to it in order to see my latest snapshots.

Here’s a reflection on my favourite culinary moments from mid-August…

Day #225 - carrot, chickpea and apricot tagine

Day #225 – Vibrant carrot, chickpea and apricot tagine ready to serve with lamb steaks grilled with Gourmet Spice Co’s Ras-el-Hanout mix, that I’d ordered using the gift voucher Love Your Larder kindly gave me for being their Blogger of the Week

Day #226 - instant banana icecream

Day #226 – Experimenting with instant banana icecream in the afternoon sunshine

Day #227 - Tamang Thai's honey battered tempura prawns

Day #227 – Honey battered tempura prawns enjoyed as a starter during my first visit to Tamang Thai in Crystal Palace…very close to our little flat and great food so I’ll definitely be returning!

Day #228 - caramello icecream

Day #228 – Taking a scoop out of the gooey caramello icecream tub as a late night treat

Day #229 - popping open the prosecco

Day #229 – My boyfriend is teetotal so I don’t normally drink alcohol, but I cracked open this bottle of fizz in order to test out The Dessert Deli’s prosecco jelly recipe for her gorgeous new cookbook. It seemed only fair to help myself to a little glass at the same time…

Day #230 - Joe & Seph's gourmet popcorn

Day #230 – Have you tried Joe & Seph’s gourmet popcorn yet? Their smooth caramel, black pepper and chilli flavour earned them the title of the “Willy Wonka” of popcorn by the Evening Standard newspaper, and coatings like Cheese of Toast sound unbelievable but are incredibly accurate. I had a fantastic time on the other side of the counter at the Foodies Festival, helping to sell their amazing air-popped snacks to a crowd of hungry punters

Day #231 - chilling with a Bloody Mary in Battersea Park

Day #231 – Two boozy drinks in one week…you can tell it was the start of my summer holidays! Chilling with a spicy Bloody Mary in Battersea Park after a successful day trading with Joe & Seph’s gourmet popcorn

As well as checking out my #project366 Pinterest board, you can also follow my progress via twitter and instagram…as a food photography novice, I’d love to hear what you think of my efforts!

  1. Pinterest is wonderful, but makes me so unsatisfied with my home and cooking. I'll be following you now :-)
